The Daring finally reached the meteorite landing site. They investigated the area and found ancient tracks leaving the area. Leading them to believe that someone or something left the meteorite area after it landed. Unfortunately they were unable to find any clues on a way to leave the island.
The Daring returned to the gnome/human villages and spent nearly 9 months unsuccessfully tracking leads all across the island, to have each one result in disappointment. The Daring was actually beginning to prepare for life after Isla Nurna, discussing the possibility to setting up permanent lives on Taintasia.
It was Schmismas eve, The Daring exchanged gifts during their first tropical Schmismas and all went to settle in for the night. Yip, keeping with his yearly tradition, wrote Santa a Schmismas letter, asking Santa to help him and his friends get off the island for Schmismas. He put the letter, milk and cookies out for Santa and then went to bed.
In the middle of the night, The Daring were awaked by animal hooves and a commotion outside. They all went outside and saw a reindeer drawn sleigh, with a several arrows protruding from it. And behold, Santa turned to face them. Sporting a black eye, as he patted out the flames on the edge of his coat. Santa explained that he had received Yip’s letter and wanted to help them get off the island, but he also needed some help this Schmismas as well. For reasons unknown, the forces of Schmismas Evil were stronger than ever, and Santa needed The Daring’s assistance in battling them that night.
The Daring got into the sleigh, which took out at great speeds. As it approached the magical dome, the sleight began to shake, at the sleight met the edge of the dome, blue sparks began to fly and the sleight pushed against the ancient magical barrier. Slowly the sleight passed the barrier and then shot out into the night.
Santa brought them to a raging battle, he explained that the Rat King and Nutcracker Prince we engaged in combat and that The Daring needed to take care of the Rat King. The Daring dropped from the sleigh, several hundred feet up and with Santa’s magic they landed softly right in the ring of combat that had formed around the Rat King and The Nutcracker prince. Sadly, just as they landed The Rat Kind defeated the nutcracker prince. The Daring entered combat with the Rat King, they dispatched his minions in swaths and eventually were able to vanquish the king himself. Leo used a healing spell on The Nutcracker prince, and Santa came and picked them up. Santa had some additional wounds, and he and his sleigh were covered sugar cookie batter.
Santa brought them to the next location which was on the edge of a frozen village. Below was Jack Frost and several Ice golems. Santa dropped of The Daring again, and The Daring almost instantly killed Jack Frost because he was a lil’ bitch. The Daring had to wait for a little while for Santa to come back and get them because he assumed it would have taken them longer than like 20 seconds to kill Jack Frost.
The third place Santa brought them was to a far away land called Faerun. He dropped them in (silverymoon?) and explained that thieves had been going around and stealing Schmismas presents from all of the children and that they were escaping in the sewers. The Daring went into the sewers and confronted Harold and Marvin. With very little apprehension, The Daring murdered the two suspected criminals, who at worst would have been convicted of a misdemeanor but most likely would have just been given community service.
Santa came to pick them up and asked what had happened. The Daring explained and then everyone had a really awkward and quiet trip to the next location, while Santa began to think of ways to distance himself from these guys.
The final location Santa brought The Daring was an orphanage. Some evil beast had been stealing children. Some evil beast that The Daring had never confronted before, some evil…Oh, wait. It’s Krampus again. What’s going on man? How have you been, family doing alright? Cool, cool. Yeah, so we’re gonna kill you again. I know I know, we gotta stop meeting like this, haha. Good one. Okay, so yeah. Sorry man.
The Daring killed Krampus again, who left behind some jingle bells, a golden whip and the Krampus sack and as The Daring looked outside, they saw a sleigh disappearing into the night and heard a bellowing “Merry Schmismas!” The Daring were finally home.
As the day was dawning on Schmismas morning, The Daring returned to their adventuring company. Everyone was amazed to see them, having thought them dead. Bean met them, he was no longer sickly and looked ripped and sweet and apparently was just slaying chicks now. Bean explained that The Daring members has been proclaimed deceased after months of searching, and that the legal process had been completed to transfer the adventuring company to the senior member…Bean.
As this was getting ironed out, tempers rising, a familiar figure came into sight. Ghazan, with hauntingly white eyes and stark white hair, came out to meet The Daring. He explained that the ancient spirits of his tribe rejected his death, and because the horn and his ashes had been returned to his tribal site, the ancient spirits were able to return him to the realm of the living.
